A Life Well Lived

“She rode through life the same way she rode through the mountains — quietly, gracefully, and always at home in the world around her.”

Nancy spent most of her life in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a place that suited her perfectly — unhurried, full of beauty, close to the earth. She had a gentle presence that put everyone at ease, and a quiet pride in the people she loved. She is survived by her son Damon and her grandchildren Logan, Sadie, and Jacklynn. She reunites now with her husband Keith, who went ahead of her in 2023.

Words from Those Who Knew Her

Leave a memory

Martin March 27, 2026

I knew Nancy and Keith very well, all the way back to 805 and beyond. Nancy, Keith and myself had a successful automotive business in North Lake Tahoe. Nancy had the unenviable position of running parts for us which sometimes involved driving to South Lake and back, which could take all day just to pick up some widget we needed. On one such trip, right before Nancy was almost back, a squirrel ran in front of her car. Having the good heart we all knew her for, Nancy slammed on her brakes and saved that squirrels life which in the process created a 3 car pileup! No one was hurt, only some bent fenders. Damon, your mom was a wonderful, beautiful lady with an equally beautiful spirit. I'm sorry I won't be with you on the 10th but I'll be thinking of you.
